In one of my favourite books, Demian by Herman Esse, he wrote that the egg is the world; "the bird fights its way out of the egg. Who would be born must destroy first one world". Easter gives us the chance to highlight this mysterious body of egg that has not only high nutritional value, but also many symbolic meanings in religion and arts. This SeVen is dedicated to eggs with many inspirational links and ideas on how to paint them, decorate your house with them, photograph beautiful egg still life, see their most creative version on Etsy, or just learn fun facts about them with a trivia quiz in the end. One of my favourite themes, especially now that the summer is close, is the nautical; a selection of coastal and maritime items and elements that echoes the life in the sea. This project can vary from few light and breezy touches to one exclusive thematic room decoration with coastal and nautical character.
I think that three are the basic colors for a successful nautical style: white, blue and little red. Some neutral hues of wood and tan could be also added referring the wooden deck or the sand of the seashore.
