Last Christmas I made my first paper stars that I enjoyed so much, because they were so easy, inexpensive and beautiful. So, when Dimitra from the beautiful blog, Decor Asylum, invited me to participate in her project "Christmas with friends" and make a Christmas guest post, I immediately thought paper stars!!!

Τα χάρτινα στολίδια έχουν "ανεβεί" πολύ τα τελευταία χρόνια, κυρίως λόγω της εξάπλωσης της ιαπωνικής τέχνης του origami. Απλές, αλλά και πιο σύνθετες κατασκευές, μεγάλες σε μέγεθος, ή πιο μικρές, χιονονιφάδες και γιρλάντες, στολίδια και δεντράκια από παλιά βιβλία... Κι εδώ η ποικιλία είναι μεγάλη και ο βαθμός δυσκολίας μπορεί να εξαρτηθεί από τη διάθεση, τον χρόνο και τη δεξιοτεχνία μας. Οι ιδέες πολλές και ενδιαφέρουσες, για να στολίσουν μ' ένα διαφορετικό, πιο λιτό τρόπο, το χριστουγεννιάτικο δέντρο και το σπίτι μας.

I really love Christmas ornaments made with natural materials because they offer a more ecological and minimal style in Christmas decoration. You can buy them, or you can create them by materials that you will find easily in the parks, or in the near forests. Pine nuts, acorns, small pieces of wood can be transformed to stunning Christmas creations. All you need are color paints in festive hues, ribbons, glitter and a lot of imagination!
