Happy Mother's Day to all sweet mothers!!! We all knew the importance of motherhood (fathers usually feel somehow invisible when it's about Mom's love ...). Sometimes we take all these things of motherhood and parenthood for granted like spoiled children who live in the center of their parent's world.
But, I must admit that after becoming mother myself, I realised that it's not just another stage of life and a family-making decision. It's a whole transformation. You are not the same person you used to be; your needs and desires are rearranged in a different row; your mind is rebooted and is set in a new function, Mom's function!!!

The celebration of Mother's Day is not a recent fest or another trick of contemporary world to make people buy things and give presents. There are evidences that people celebrated and honored the Mother from ancient Greek and Roman times. Ironically, Anna Jarvis, the woman who organized the first Mother's Day in 1908, never had children of her own, but her mother's death inspired her to take this action. ΑπάντησηΔιαγραφήΓια την Anna Jarvis και την ιστορία το έμαθα και εγώ φέτος, καμία σχέση βέβαια με αυτό που κατέληξε να είναι η γιορτή.. Αλλά δεν ήξερα πως υπήρχε ανάλογη γιορτή και στην Αρχαία Ελλάδα.
